Blessed Pope John Paul II - "The Most Seen Person in World"

From the early morning of October 16, 1978 - since his first appearance at the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, Pope John Paul II' his popularity soared high making him one of the most influential person in the world.

He has broken precedents & traditions, broken records and set new records in history

One Record attributed to him is "The most seen  & most recognizable person in History

This was witnessed during his Wednesday Audiences, pastoral trips within Italy and in his 104 international travels to 129 countries all over the world. Most evident during International World Youth Days.

Not only during his lifetime but also during his death & funeral which was thought to be the most watched funerals live and on screens all over the world. It was also considered as the largest gathering world leaders from Royal-Monarchy Leaders, Presidents & Prime Ministers, Religious Leaders and other foreign dignitaries.

Same was true during his Beatification...and most probably on his most awaited canonization.

Some photos showing some memorable moments with people all over the world.

I have not known anyone who was able to get or attract audiences in any country he visited, Catholic or Non-Catholic dominated or majority.

The only reason I could think of....His faith in God
We feel his Holiness because Jesus Christ is with Him.

Critics says it's "Idolatry"
And that Pope John Paul only wanted power and popularity

Pope John Paul II was never concern about his popularity nor about power
He never attempted to hide from the public his pains,
sufferings and deteriorating physical condition

Because for some it was a sign of weakness
But with Pope John Paul II it was sharing the Cross of Christ
He continued to do his task as a priest, witness for Christ and evangelising.
His Union with Christ through long constant prayers and meditations
Has made him more holy & mystic, gained more charms & magnetism
And so much love and respect

Pope John Paul II was so "Loved" (not idolized) by many and will continue to be so
Because during his lifetime he demonstrated his love for God & humanity
As Jesus Christ himself had taught us

I believe he is really a representative of Christ on earth
Because his teachings & memories goes beyond his lifetime

<<<<Thank You Pope John Paul II>>>>
